A5 PLANNER WALKTHROUGH AND SETUP

A few months ago I posted an overview here 2017 Plannerstack of the various planners I use. I wanted to take some time today to walk you through my set-up for my main planner.

My 2017 Planner

In 2017 I used the Filofax Domino A5 Binder as my main planner, with inserts from Inkwell Press and the Start Planner. In the past I have used the bound versions from Erin Condren, Inkwell Press, and the Start Planner. Although I love all of those, I REALLY love the flexibility and versatility of using a ring bound A5 planner. I am free to add and delete pages, pouches, notes, really anything as it suits my needs. The inserts inside my planner are from inkwell Press and the Start Planner.  The paper quality with the Inkwell Press is amazing and the Start Planner has some really unique and useful insert pages that  aren’t found in other planner pages-including budget, home maintenance checklists, projects, and passwords.  I keep track of most of my personal and family life in this planner.

I keep a few pages from my bookmark tablet in the very front. These are great. They are made by CarpeDiem and I bought them at Hobby Lobby.  I keep a running list of my errands on these. They are also good to pull out and take with you.

Sections—I have three main sections in my planner

  • Planning—This section includes goal setting worksheets, projects, vacation planning worksheets, cleaning lists, and other lists.

  • Goals-This section includes important dates for the year, 2017 Goals, and master task lists. I have a task list page here for each of these categories: Financial, Personal, Home, Health, Social, and Blog.

  • Calendar—This section contains the monthly and weekly calendar inserts (I keep six months at a time in my binder) along with the monthly mission boards.

The back part of my planner includes a clear zipper pocket for holding supplies, a sleeve protector and a notepad that fits perfectly in the back cover from Minted Sugar (you can find her on Etsy)

This system worked so well for me in 2017, I plan to use the same system in 2018. I have already ordered and received my 2018 inserts.

What system do you plan to use in 2018. Leave a comment below and let me know!!
Happy Planning!

Brenda

Hi Emily! The gold-looking dividers are from Michael’s. I swiped them out of one of my recollections planners (a Michael’s brand). The dividers with the months on them came with my Inkwell Press inserts. I hope that helps.
